Super Brain....Digital Storytelling
My class and I have been working on telling stories that have a problem and solution with in them. We have also been working on making sure the character or characters really come alive in our stories. For my digital story I wanted to work with my class to incorporate all those aspects in our story. We worked together as a class to create the story of Super Brain, and then as you can tell my class created all the illustrations for our story. The idea of the story started from one of the boys in my class and then it all just came together from there. If you think about it the story is very similar to Superman. Overall, I felt our story came out well and my class loved doing it together. I am thinking about using this feature of technology again when my students do their Diary of a ....books for our Content Area writing unit. That time I will have them create their own narration and be the narrator of their story.

Dear Anne,
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful story. Your students are excellent at storytelling, developing plot and character. Also, whoever is doing the narration has excellent pitch and modulation. The drawings add authenticity and illustrate the collaborative efforts of the students. You will have to explain in class how the full story got written and what technologies you used. Thanks for sharing.
Sincerely,
Judy Arzt
Nice job Anne! Did you and the kids come up with the story together? I love your illustrations too. What technology did you use to make this? The ways to use digital story telling are endless. I like the idea of having them create their own (or maybe small group?) to tell their "diary" stories.
ReplyDeleteOh, Anne! It's so great! I love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I also like your idea about the name poem in your other blog post. I might steal your idea! Hehe!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You did a great job. My favorite part is the narrator's voice :)
